The LlÅ·n Peninsula boasts 50 miles of stunning coastline within 30 minutes’ drive of Hendre Barns.  Some of our favourite spots nearby include:

Llanbedrog  For Plas Glyn-y-Weddw gallery and tea room, an open air theatre and the iron man at the top of the headland.  Visit the sandy beach with its brightly coloured beach huts and Aqua al fresco bar and restaurant.

Nant Gwrtheyrn  This hidden and picturesque coastal valley was once a granite mine, but now hosts a residential Welsh language centre, museum, pretty chapel, shingle beach and tea room with a view.

Morfa Nefyn  Walk along the beach at Porth Dinllaen to Ty Coch Inn, voted one of the best beach bars in the world.

Abersoch  See and be seen in the Llyn Peninsula’s most exclusive village, with expensive houses, cars and boats!  With a good choice of pubs and restaurants, a few luxury shops and large sandy beaches.

Aberdaron  A picturesque village at the tip of the Llyn, with excellent coastal walking, sandy beach and good food.  Enjoy lunch on the beach-side terrace at Ty Newydd.  Drive to the summit of Mynydd Mawr for a great view across to Bardsey Island.

Porthmadog  Gateway to Snowdonia National Park.  Take a steam train ride on the Ffestiniog Welsh Highland Railway.  Visit Portmeirion Italianate village.
